Lesser Panda

Red panda is often referred to as the “lesser panda” in deference to the better-known giant panda. However, red panda was found 50 years earlier than giant panda and “panda” was given as their name. Few people have heard of red pandas, let alone known their cuteness and interesting parts.

       Its wild population is estimated at less than 10000 mature individuals.

Do you know: they are related to raccoon? But they actually have their own family Ailuridae.
